MWR Sports Complex: Fields & Courts

NOTICE: The Flag Football Field, Inline Hockey Rink and Campos Softball Field will be Closed for renovations beginning Thursday, September 1 through January 2017.

  • Intramural Flag Football League will utilize the Field located behind the Fire Station on Fortin Circle for its 2016 season scheduled to commence September 22.
  • Both Intramural Hockey and Fall Softball Leagues have been canceled for their 2016 season due to the project.
  • Anyone wishing to utilize the Fields for PRT or personal fitness purposes are encouraged to use the NAS Parade Field grounds or Softball Fields "Hole #1" & "Hole #2" located down the street from the Outdoor Pool.

 

Softball Fields
Hole Field #2, VQ-4 Field, and Dusty Rhodes Field are for softball use and can be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519. Campos Field, Wood Hobby Shop Field, and Hole Field #1 are designated for intramural softball play only and can not be reserved for use.

Soccer Field
The Parade Grounds are used for soccer and can be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519.  The field is located on Cedar Point Road across from NAS Administrative Building 409.

Football Fields
VQ-4 Field and Dusty Rhodes Field can be used for football and may be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519.  Tex Olsen Field is designated for intramural football play only and can not be reserved for use.

  • Hole Field #1: Cuddihy Road below the Outdoor Pool
  • Hole Field #2: Cuddihy Road below the Outdoor Pool, behind Hole Field #1
  • VQ-4 Field: Cedar Point Road past Taxiway Alpha
  • Dusty Rhodes Field: Millstone Road past Taxiway Alpha, behind the Ground Electronics Maintenance Building
  • Campos Field: adjacent to Drill Hall
  • Tex Olsen Field:  adjacent to Drill Hall
  • Wood Hobby Shop Field:  Fortin Circle behind Firehouse #2
  • Parade Grounds:  Cedar Point Road across form NAS Administrative Building 409

Racquetball Courts
Two full-sized regulation racquetball courts are located inside the Drill Hall may be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519. Courts #1 and #2 may only be reserved on the day that play is planned.  Reservation can be made after 9 a.m. the same day as the intended play time.  Challenge courts 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. No reservation allowed during this time.

Basketball Courts
Three basketball courts and one full-sized NCAA regulation basketball court are located inside the Drill Hall.  They may be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519, at least 24 hours in advance.

Volleyball Court
One full-sized  regulation volleyball court is located inside the Drill Hall and may be reserved by calling Gear Issue at 301-342-3519, at least 24 hours in advance.

Tennis Courts
Six tennis courts are located behind the base library and two may be found across from Visitors Quarters.  All courts are available for use at any time and may be lit for evening play.  Courts many not be reserved as they are provided on a first come, first serve basis to all base personnel.
