The Fleet & Family Support Center will host a suicide prevention awareness event for parents and caregivers on March 12 from 6-7:30pm at the Religious Services Building.
The event will focus on mental health struggles common for many young people and will feature a panel discussion and resources on how to support youth in times of crisis.
Panelists include:
- Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River
- St. Mary's County Health Department
- St. Mary's Public Schools Mental Health Coordinator
- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
- Fleet & Family Support Center clinicians
