Kick off the holiday season with MWR on Friday, Dec. 5 from 4:30-8 p.m. at the Community Recreation Office!
This free annual event will begin with the arrival of Santa via helicopter. After we light the tree, MWR will have fun activities including skating on our ice-less rink, pictures with Santa, a gingerbread house obstacle course, face painting & balloon art, arts & crafts, a sensory-friendly calming tent and food available for purchase from base organizations including:
- VX-20 FCPOA - Hamburgers & hotdogs
- VX-23 CPOA - Pizza, baked goods (cupcakes, cookies, etc.), cold & hot beverages
- HX-21 CPOA - Sweet & spicy Italian sausage on a bun with onion & peppers
- VXS-1 CPOA - Hot dogs, beverages
- NAVAIR CPOA - Chili
- VX-20 - Hot cocoa, cider & baked goods
Please note that Keane Road (entering and exiting the Drill Hall) will be closed beginning at 4 p.m. for the event. Those visiting the Drill Hall will need to do so from the back entrance off of Buse Road (by the Auto Skills Center).
Parking will be available at the Center Stage Theater (across the street from the Community Recreation Office on Cedar Point Road) and at Building 460 (across the street from the Community Recreation Office and in front of the Drill Hall turf field.
