Dec. 14, 11 a.m.-Noon: Effective Parenting (virtual)  Parenting is one of the most rewarding and equally challenging jobs out there. Children don’t come with instruction manuals and one size does not fit all! There are SO many factors to consider. This class will focus on effective parenting styles, ways to encourage positive behavior and ways to manage misbehavior. Parents will learn how to connect with their children on a meaningful and personal level. Rather than continuously striving to be “perfect” parents, let us strive to become fully present and highly competent parents.

Dec. 19, Noon-1 p.m.: Effective Communication  We do it every day. Every word we speak and action we take sends off a message to those around us. But what message are we sending? Do our actions match our words? In this class, we will break down the basics of verbal and nonverbal communication. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of how to effectively communicate.

Dec. 21, 1-2 p.m.: Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) 101 Come and learn the important facts about EFMP! What IS EFMP? Who should enroll and why? What forms are needed? What are the benefits of the programs? Where do I go for support? What is Tricare's ECHO program?
